The Ipswich and Norwich Co-op band was formed in 1982 and for the past two years have been crowned the Champion Band of East Anglia.
In 1992 the band was delighted to accept sponsorship from the Ipswich and Norwich Co-operative Society which is now known as the East of England Co-operative Society.
Our mission is to promote great Brass Band music suitable for all generations. Our repertoire ranges from Classical to Modern, Musicals to Big Band and the Traditional Brass Band Marches and Overtures. In 2006 the Ipswich and Norwich Co-op Band recorded their first album entitled 'A Suffolk Prelude' which includes our diverse range of musical genres.
Our musicians travel from throughout East Anglia (Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire) to play with the band and with the continued generous support of the East of England Co-operative Society, with whom we are proud to be associated, we can look forward to many more years of success.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our Patrons of the Band and those who have supported us over the years. We look forward to entertaining you though our music in the future.
We are very please to announce that we have been won the East Anglian Brass Band Entertainments Contest for the third year running. We also took home prizes for the best Horn player - Linda Purdy and the best Conductor - Graham Chambers.
